 The Chat Room

-Need to know the background story between A and S.
-S is teacher Discourse and A is in the secondary discourse due to her experience of chat rooms being dangerous at a young age. There is also technology (chat room) discourse

Mental Verbs: " I think", "um", "like"
Denotations of time and place: In the past tense
Transitions:
S: starts with you opposed to A who begins with "I ". Then A mentions, "we" referring to her and her friend.
Language Passive and Active Forms:
A changes from active and goes towards passive at the end. In a way A turns to S, asking her " what can anyone do at that age?"

Language: It was a casual progression to the events leading up to the discussion. It seemed to be comfortable for both during this interview.
Repetitions: "you," "like," "every  time," "chat rooms"

A leads you to the events being lead by S. But towards the end she seems like A was shrugging her shoulders and asking innocently, "What can you do?"

Research Question: What does the chat room transcript say about A's relationship about the material change from one section to the other section? (In process...)

Evidence:
I will use the different discourse each one falls in and I will use the language usage of A. Also use the two different stories she described when she was alone in a chat room opposed to when she was in a chat room with her friend.
