Analysis means taking something apart and interpreting it the way you see it and viewing that specific thing in different parts. It can be examined in many ways whether in patterns, grouping or visually examining it. If I were to do a medical research I would analyze it by taking it apart, I would take the medical language (terminology) and interpret in a language that every reader or everyone can understand. I would ask what exactly is being said? What does this condition mean? How can a patient question the doctor to explain more in regards of his or her condition by understanding what exactly the doctor is saying behind the difficult medical terminology.
I would look for patterns in the patients case and the treatments that were effective or noneffective. The surrounding actions I would search for would be if the patient was willing to comply with the doctor. The interaction between both the doctor and the patient or in many cases a medical malpractice lawyer with a doctor. The outcome I will look for is the ending result of the treatment and how the doctor feel's at the end whether it was a hard case and if the treatment that was provided was really effective.
